Dear 9th Floor

‘Dear 9th Floor’ is an artist book that aims to visualise the fun, vibrant moments from my student accommodation in Malmo Sweden. The 9th floor quickly became a cultural and social hub of exchange and international students from across 12 different countries worldwide. From group dinners to late-night chats, the time I spent on the 9th floor was not only a physical space to coexist but a shared space that invited conversations and light-hearted moments that were beyond studying. The people on the 9th floor became family. This book has interactive elements where the audience can engage and get a sense of the communal exchanges that often occur at the student accommodation. As time goes by, my memory of the place becomes hazy and unclear, remaining as a distant memory where I cannot recall all the details. The experience feels like a dream. Unreal.
